To verify a statement: fetch the keyring, take the key with the statement's sig.kid, remove sig, serialise the rest as canonical JSON (keys sorted, no spaces, UTF-8) and check the Ed25519 signature. Two vantage points watch every door: PADEL from the machine, the edge instrument from the Cloudflare edge; the office rail counter-signs the edge's events at close-out.
